Privacy Policy

This is a small website for one holiday cabin. It has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind, so there is very little to tell you — but what there is, is below in full.
Who is responsible
Sunset Retreat Cabin, Portglenone, Co. Antrim, is the data controller for anything you send through this site. To ask a question about your details, or to have them deleted, phone 07786 308792 or message on WhatsApp.
What we collect, and only when you send it
Nothing is collected from browsing. The only information we receive is what you type into the enquiry form and send:
- your name
- an email address or phone number, so we can reply
- the dates you are asking about, and how many guests
- anything you write in the message box
We use it to answer your enquiry and to arrange the stay. Nothing else. It is never sold, never shared for marketing, and you will not be added to a mailing list.
If you message on WhatsApp
The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp on your own device with a message already written. Nothing is sent until you press send, and this website never sees it — the conversation is between you and WhatsApp, under their privacy policy.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all, and stores nothing in your browser. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Who else is involved
The site is hosted by Netlify, which stores enquiry form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Loading a page also requests fonts, icons and the calendar script from Google Fonts, unpkg, jQuery and Beds24. Those requests tell each service your IP address, as any request for a file on the internet does. None of them are given your name, your dates or your message.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a stay are deleted within twelve months. Where you did stay with us, we keep what we need for our records and for tax purposes, then delete the rest.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and we will do it. Just get in touch using the number above.
